PRP for Sexual Dysfunction
What is PRP for Sexual Dysfunction?
Platelet rich plasma and stem cells are significant building blocks for tissue, collagen, bone, cartilage, and hair development. The last several years, orthopedic medicine has effectively used PRP in reducing pain and rehab time, and improving overall functional status in patients.
Similar to the progressive use of PRP in orthopedic medicine, the aesthetics community has found new, non-invasive uses of PRP. One such use is in sexual dysfunction for both men and women.
In men PRP can help with erectile dysfunction promoting increased circulation, sensation, and can be used with other oral medications like Cialis and Viagra.
In Women PRP can help with low sexual desire and arousal, female organism disorder, and dyspareunia (pain with sex).

How it Works?
The PRP process involves drawing your own blood. A centrifuge is then used to separate platelet rich plasma from your blood. While the PRP is separated, a topical numbing agent is applied to your skin. Once the PRP is isolated from your blood, it is then superficially injected into the areas of concern. For men, injections are delivered into the penis. For women, injections are delivered into the clitoris and upper vagina.
What to Expect
PRP requires 24-48 hours of downtime. Immediately after the treatment patients experience redness and sensitivity to the area. 1 treatment is recommended, that can last up to 18 months or longer.
