Microdermabrasion
What is Microdermabrasion?
Like chemical peels, microdermabrasion exfoliates and removes the superficial layer of dry and dead skin. Dermabrasion uses fine crystals or diamonds to exfoliate. It is a great standalone procedure, as well as part of a rejuvenation skin program. By unclogging pores and removing dead skin, it restores the vitality of your skin, offering the appearance of a refreshing glow.
Microdermabrasion Applications:
- fine lines
- age spots and blackheads
- skin discoloration
- enlarged pores
- surface and acne scars
How it Works
Microdermabrasion is a procedure with minor discomfort. During the procedure, a probe instrument is passed over the surface of your face. Using tiny diamonds or crystals your skin is gently sanded and suctioned. The outer layer of skin is removed while also cleansing pores and removing oil.
The Machine can be adjusted for client needs, however, the crystal flow determines how deep the procedure exfoliates the skin. The procedure will make multiple passes over your skin for ideal results.
What to Expect
Microdermabrasion has 24-48 hours of downtime, dependent on the degree of dermabrasion force. Post-treatment, some skin types experience slight redness to the area. Treatments can be scheduled at 2-4 week intervals. And for best results 4 -6 treatments are recommended.
