What is a PDO Thread Facelift?
PDO (polydioxanone) thread facelift is one of the most effective ways to lift loose skin without surgery or downtime. PDO threads are similar to surgical sutures that stimulate collagen synthesis when placed under the skin. The threads act as a scaffold holding the skin in place against the effects of gravity. The mesh of threads help shape the skin/face by lifting and supporting sagging structures to recontour your body.
When PDO threads are applied to the face, the skin is lifted to help reduce the appearance of cheek sagging, jowls, and neck laxity. This re-contouring can be accomplished without the appearance of added weight to the face and neck areas.
PDO threads are completely invisible and absorbable within 4-6 months, but the structural support is lasting for 8-24 months.

How it Works
After an initial consult for eligibility of procedure, a skin assessment is performed. The skin is than cleansed and vector points are marked on the face for optimal thread placement.
Once the area is anesthetized for comfort, the threads are placed under the skin following the marked vectors. After all the threads are placed, the overlying skin is massaged to activate and lock all the threads in place. Symmetry of the procedure is reevaluated before the suspended threads are cut and hidden underneath the skin.
Post procedural instructions are discussed with patient follow-up scheduled at a 2 week period.
What to Expect
Session time can vary from 45-60 minutes. Post-treatment their is no downtime or scars. Minimal pain can be expected with aching to the area for up to one week post procedures.
Fillers and relaxants can be performed on same day. All laser services, skin resurfacing, body contouring, and fat busting treatments should be deferred for 4-6 weeks.
One session is recommended, however, during the two week follow-up additional threads can be placed for desired results. Post-treatment, routine skincare regimen can be resumed along with makeup.
